Flumotion 0.5.2 'Can Tomas' released

The Flumotion team proudly announces a new release of the development 0.5 branch of the Flumotion Streaming Server.

After the winter release that was bursting with features, for 0.5.2 we focused on stabilizing Flumotion and improving user experience. Check the 0.5.2 release notes for all the details.

Hackers of Flumotion giddily announce a new release of the development 0.5 branch of the Flumotion Streaming Server.

6500 lines of changelog. 471 files changed. 28808 lines of source code changed. 88 bugs fixed and enhancement requests closed. This is quite a big release! Check the 0.5.1 release notes for all the details.

Flumotion 0.4.2 'Belchica Strikes Back' released

We are happy to announce the 0.4.2 release of the Flumotion streaming server, a minor release in the 0.4 stable series.

This is a bugfix release, with some minor feature improvements and substantial reliability improvements.

Flumotion 0.4.0 'Camp Nou' released

We are happy to announce the 0.4.0 release of the Flumotion streaming server, the first in the new 0.4 stable series. This version was released during Thomas's talk on Flumotion at LCA.

Many features were added. Most components had their property names overhauled for consistency. The reliability of flumotion has been greatly improved under difficult conditions (network outages, crashing components, etc.)

Burst-on-connect was improved and made more flexible. An icecast stream relaying component was added. A unix domain GDP component was added. an iCal-based bouncer and disker was added. http-server on-demand streaming component was added.

Log rotation now works in workers and jobs. Components show feeder information in their UI.

Flumotion 0.3.2 'Flight JL 412' released

We are happy to announce the 0.3.2 release of the Flumotion streaming server, the second in the unstable 0.3 series.

This release is an unstable release. People who want a stable Flumotion should use the 0.2 releases.

Many minor features were added. Most components had their property names overhauled for consistency. The reliability of flumotion has been greatly improved under difficult conditions (network outages, crashing components, etc.) We hope to release 0.4.0 in the near future, so you might want to try this one out and let us know how it works for you!

Cortado 0.2.2 'Really Tested Verily Exceptionally' released

This version has received a number of property additions, and an incredible amount of testing on even 7-year-old Java VM's, on Linux, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. We dare you to break it.

We are happy to announce the 0.3.1 release of the Flumotion streaming server, the first in the unstable 0.3 series.

This release is an unstable release. People who want a stable Flumotion should use the 0.2 releases.

A lot of features were added or overhauled. Support for GStreamer 0.8 and Twisted 1.3 has finally been dropped. Network reconnection improvements have been made.

Flumotion 0.2.2 'IT' released

We are happy to announce the 0.2.2 release of the Flumotion streaming server.

This release is a bug-fix release, and is API-compatible with the 0.2.0 release.

This release fully works with both GStreamer 0.8 and 0.10. Support for Twisted 2.4.0 was added; Flumotion 0.2.2 now supports Twisted 1.3.0 through 2.4.0.

Flumotion 0.2.1 'Angel' released

We are happy to announce the 0.2.1 release of the Flumotion streaming server.

This release is a bug-fix release, and is API-compatible with the 0.2.0 release.

This release fully works with GStreamer 0.10. A Brazilian Portuguese translation was added. The colorbalance effect for GStreamer 0.10 version was ported. The Stream URL is now displayed in http-streamer admin GTK UI. Core dumps and signals are properly trapped and reported to the manager.

Flumotion Template 0.2.0 released

We are happy to announce a release of the flumotion-template.

This template can be used as a basis for your own Flumotion components. It includes a sample component that can flip a video stream horizontally and/or vertically.

Flumotion 0.2.0 'San Telmo' released

We are happy to announce the 0.2.0 release of the Flumotion streaming server.

This release has changed the syntax of configuration files. Check the NEWS file for more information. An XSLT stylesheet is shipped with the release to automatically upgrade from previous versions.

This release fully works with GStreamer 0.10. A looper producer was added, allowing you to continuously loop an Ogg file. Synchronization between components has been improved a lot - we've ran webcam/soundcard streams synchronized for more than a day. A new binary, flumotion-command, has been added. Components can now send translatable messages that will show up in the admin's own locale.

Flumotion 0.1.10 'Rosa Negra' released

We are happy to announce the 0.1.10 release of the Flumotion streaming server.

This release is the first with support for GStreamer 0.9.x Development series. New binaries have been added. flumotion-inspect is useful to examine available components. flumotion-launch allows you to launch a command-line flow in one process for easy testing.

The concept of Flumotion projects allows uninstalled additional Flumotion projects to be used. Workers now spawn job processes to run components in, which is more reliable than forks in Twisted.

Flumotion can now be translated; A Dutch translation was added.

Flumotion 0.1.9 'Zahara' released

We are very happy to announce a new release of Flumotion. This release features configuration import and export, a nice connection dialog, an important TV card fix, support for Twisted 2.0, a UI for bouncers to play with, and a way to change Firewire audio volume from the admin.

Cortado 0.1.0 released

We are very happy to announce the first public release of Cortado, our java-based media player applet.

Since it's a first release, building it might still be rough around the edges, but should be possible using at least Jikes with GCJ classpath libraries, or the Sun compiler. You can also download built .jar files of this release.
