Release notes for FlumotionĀ 0.1.9 "Zahara"

The Flumotion team is happy to announce a new release of the Flumotion Streaming Server. Flumotion is a streaming server for GNU/Linux systems featuring an easy to use configuration and administration GUI. Implemented using GStreamer as the processing backend and using python and Twisted for the high-level operations and GUI, it combines a wide feature set with ease of use.

Features of this release

  • Now works correctly with Twisted 2.0
  • Issues related to installing in custom prefixes have been fixed
  • components show their relative CPU usage
  • burst-on-connect for video is implemented, giving clients all data since the last key frame immediately
  • a new message area was added to the wizard so worker messages can be made non-modal
  • man pages were added

Bugs fixed in this release

  • 240 : Triggering an assertion on the Consumption wizard page
  • 264 : Disker GUI gone
  • 236 : "Export Configuration" silently overwrites existing files
  • 241 : Clearing the mount property of http-streamer borks the wizard
  • 47 : Remote PB lists
  • 135 : Audio src selection should have device name/info like videosrc
  • 248 : worker not killed with flumotion stop
  • 255 : Twisted reactor tracebacks only appear at debug level 4
